MSD, a leading global biopharmaceutical company also known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, N.J., U.S.A in the U.S. and Canada first set up its sales and marketing office in Singapore in 1993.

Our MSD Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, established since 2007, serves over 12 subsidiaries across the region. 

Over an almost 30-year period, MSD has established an extensive footprint here in Singapore and invested in expanding its operations, which include its Asia Pacific headquarters, manufacturing facilities, an Animal Health site, a Translational Medicine Research Centre, and an IT Hub. MSD has a total workforce of over 1,800 MSD employees in Singapore.

Since its inauguration in 1997, the Singapore manufacturing site has grown to become a critical part of MSD’s global supply network, maintaining a workforce of 1,150 direct employees and 300 indirect service providers.

In Singapore, MSD has made investments in excess of USD$2 billion for manufacturing assets since 1997 and over USD$240 million in research since 2009.

This demonstrates MSD’s commitment as a trusted supplier of pharmaceuticals, vaccines and biologics to the world’s patients and customers.
