Health Champions

MSD is the first corporate Health Ambassador for HPB

MSD is the Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) first corporate Health Ambassador in Singapore.

The Corporate Health Ambassador Program is an extension of HPB’s Health Ambassador Network, which recruits and deploys volunteers to promote a healthy lifestyle to their families, friends and communities.

After passing all training modules conducted by HPB, they will be mobilized for health-promoting activities within the community and workplace.

Annie Chin, Managing Director, MSD Human Health said: “We’re very excited about this collaboration with HPB in our mutual pursuit of promoting healthy living as MSD believes a health-conscious lifestyle is the first step to lifelong health and well-being. As Health Ambassadors, not only will our employees benefit from HPB’s comprehensive training, but through volunteering in health promotion activities, they will be able to walk the talk and help the community live longer.”

Thirty-five "Shavees" (including two courageous MSD females) volunteered to have their heads shaved with the support of 120 colleagues, family and friends. Water Reservoir Clean-Up

SBS employees embarked on a Water Reservoir Clean-Up exercise to help keep the island water clean. The Marina Bay is a man-made desalinated sea water reservoir that supplies 10 percent of Singapore's water needs. Collaborating with Water Watch Society, some volunteers rode bicycles along the 12.5km river band, some rode in patrol boats which circled around Kallang River and some walked along the river beds to collect litter.
